Leonardo Senatore (Physics) - Stanford University

Title: Starting Inflation from an inhomogeneous universe

Abstract: I present how some numerical and analytical general relativity techniques allow us to show how inflation, or a local region of de Sitter space, gets started notwithstanding very inhomogeneous initial conditions and the potential formation of localized singularities.

Bio: Leonardo Senatore is an Associate Professor of Physics at Stanford University.  He received his PhD from MIT in 2006.  His research interests include particle physics and astrophysics.
