Description
Thinking about gravity in chaotic times
Abstract: In this BHI colloquium I will talk about the insights afforded by studying black holes as prototypical quantum chaotic systems. I will explain how signatures of quantum chaos leave imprints on black hole physics at characteristic times, and thus on the statistical description of their micro states. I will show how such a statistical description is realised explicitly in holographic duality.
