Daniel Steven Kapec

Biography

Daniel Kapec is a postdoctoral scholar at the Harvard Center of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (CMSA). He graduated from Yale College in 2012 with degrees in Physics and Mathematics, and received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from Harvard University in 2018. From 2018-2021, Dan was a member of the School of Natural Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ. His research interests span a broad range of topics in quantum field theory, general relativity, string theory and quantum gravity. His recent work focuses on classical and quantum mechanical aspects of black hole physics as well as quantum gravity and holography in asymptotically flat spacetimes.
